Kaitlin Buteyn joined Oklahoma Athletics in August 2019 and serves as an Athletic Academic Advisor.

In this role, she advises student-athletes on the men’s tennis, soccer, and wrestling teams with major exploration, graduation planning and enrollment, monitors their academic progress and success and acts as a resource to student athletes to help them navigate life at OU. She also assists in recruiting

Prior to her role as an Athletic Academic Advisor, she served as a tutorial coordinator for the University of Oklahoma from October 2018 to July 2019. Prior to that role, she served as an academic counselor at OU from October 2017 to October 2018.

Prior to her role as an academic counselor, she served as a graduate assistant academic mentor for Oklahoma Athletics.

Buteyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of Kansas and earned her Master of Education in adult and higher education with an emphasis in intercollegiate athletic administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Her family in Norman includes her husband, Dave, and their son, Jordy. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, being outside, coaching and competing in crossfit in Norman.
