Published June 10th, 2024 by OKRTC

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma wrestling head coach Roger Kish announced Tuesday the addition of six transfer athletes to the Sooners' 2025-26 roster.

Tyson Charmoli (Wyoming), Tyler Wells (Minnesota), Jack Gioffre (Virginia), Peyten Kellar (Ohio), Rafael Hipolito Jr. (Virginia Tech) and Brian Soldano (Rutgers) have all signed with the program and will join the Sooners this summer.

The group brings a combined nine NCAA Championship appearances and adds immediate experience and talent to a roster that also features four incoming freshmen ranked in MatScouts' Senior Big Board, which lists the top 250 high school recruits nationally. Oklahoma's 2025 recruiting class has been ranked as high as No. 10 in the country by FloWrestling.

"We're thrilled to welcome this group of experienced and talented wrestlers to Norman," said Kish. "Each of these young men brings a competitive edge, strong work ethic, and high character to our program. They have competed at the highest levels, and their leadership and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in continuing to elevate our program. We believe they will mesh well with our current roster and serve as strong mentors to our incoming freshman class."
